Returning or exchanging an item in store

Store and online purchases can be returned to any of our 5 stores within 30 days of the purchase or the reception of the order.

The returned items must be clean and in new condition, and must be accompanied by a valid proof of purchase and the original packaging.

Refund conditions : All free gift cards associated to a promotional offer will be cancelled following a refund. If the free gift card was used before the refund, we will deduct its amount from the refund.

Returning an item by mail

The prepaid return label provided by La Cordée must be affixed over the first mailing label. Only one address and barcode should be visible on the outside of the packaging.

The returned items must be clean and in new condition, and must be accompanied by a valid proof of purchase and the original packaging.

No exchange available on online orders.For exchanges on online orders, the merchandise must first be returned by mail to our distribution center or returned in-person at one of our stores. You will then need to place a new order, for the appropriate item.

Additional Liability Coverage is a great option to ensure that your return is received and processed without any issues. You can learn more at Canada Post.

    • We do not accept returns on the following items :

  • Underwear
  • Swimwear
  • Bikes
  • Trailers
  • Stroller
  • Watercraft
  • Skis
  • GPS
  • Software
  • Avalanche safety gear
  • Socks, cycling shorts, helmets, water filters, books and topographic maps can be exchanged or refunded only if they are new and unused and are returned with their original labels and packaging.
  • No orders can be mailed directly to any of our stores.
  • Orders cannot be returned by courier (Purolator, Fedex, et.c) or Cash on Delivery (COD).
  • Under no circumstances will a return be accepted in person at the address found on the return label

Remote Location : Free shipping and returns are not available for location with postal codes beginning with A0K, A0P, J0M, P0L, P0T, P0V, R0B, R0C, S0J, T0H, T0P, V0J, V0N, V0P, V0R, V0T, V0V, X0A, X0B, X0C, X0E, Y0B. Additional handling charges may apply to shipments of oversized items to remote areas. We will contact you, before shipping, to inform you of the fees, if any.

Warranty

Our warranty aims to offer you 100% satisfaction.

If, for a valid reason, you feel that a product purchased at La Cordée does not meet your expectations, you have 30 days to return it, clean and in new condition, and accompanied by a proof of purchase and the original packaging. We will ensure that the product is either repaired, replaced or refunded, according to the situation.

Beyond this initial 30-day period, the manufacturer's standard warranty covering manufacturing defects applies. The warranty does not apply to damages or failure due to accident, abuse, misuse, neglect, or theft.
