Merino wool naturally regulates your body temperature. When it’s cold, the fibres retain air to insulate your body, and when it’s hot they wick away sweat to keep you cool and dry.
Merino wool is naturally odour-resistant by absorbing odour-causing bacteria to trap them and prevent them from multiplying.
The porous merino wool fibres let humidity escape to keep you dry during your activity and to prevent you from getting cold. They can absorb up to 35% of their weight in water without making you feel damp.
The merino wool fibres are softer and finer than traditional wool and they are less irritating for the skin. It’s the perfect fabric for base layers worn directly on the skin.
Since merino wool is odour-resistant, you can wear your clothes more than once and wash them less often to preserve them longer.
Before washing your clothes, turn them inside out and separate the pale and the dark colours.
Machine wash your clothes on the delicate cycle with cold water and use a mild soap without bleach or fabric softener to preserve the natural properties of the fibres.
Air dry your clothes and lay them flat to preserve them longer and avoid stretching them out.
To store them, lay them flat rather than in a ball. For long-term storage, use vacuum storage bags or boxes to protect them.
